ABOUT
Hi I’m Sigríður Ásta - Sigga for short!
I’m a 29 year old actress and performer, a nature child from a small town in Iceland and I believe in elves, can’t help it.
I graduated with a BA in acting in 2020 as well as having acquired training in Classical Singing both in Iceland and in The University of Music in Vienna. I have been working in the performance field since I can remember starring in plays, operas, musicals and short films.
I currently work as a freelance actress, singer and on the occasional project as a director. I am very interested in venturing more into the film industry.
As for theatre I am very well versed in creating devised theatre performances as well as more traditional theatre work and everything in between. I sing most styles, not limiting myself to the classical genre and I speak quite a few languages: Icelandic (native), English (fluent), German (fluent), Danish (fluent), Italian (decent), Sweedish (decent), Norwegean (decent), French (beginner).
I work internationally and am very interested in international collaborations both on screen and on the stage.
If you’re interested in collaborating or want to know more, don’t hesitate to send me a line: sigridur-asta@simnet.is
